Who we are

Waasete Window Cleaning Services was founded in 2025 by Alexandera Houchin and Johnny Price as a way to build a life together through real work that connects us to our community. Waasete is an Ojibwe word that translates to “it gets bright inside,” a choice Alexandera made to honor her connection to her ancestral homelands. The name also reflects what we hope to bring into every home and business we visit: more light.

We started this business because we wanted work that felt good to do, that let us be outside, move our bodies, and help people with chores that make a difference but often get left undone.

Johnny has learned the trade through hands-on experience with a professional window cleaning service and guidance from close mentors in the field. Their advice has shaped his eye for detail and pride in doing things right. Alexandera brings years of experience too, having worked as a professional house cleaner for eight years while she lived in Madison.

We might show up in boots, a little dusty from the ride, or with wild hair, but we always leave a space a little brighter than we found it. We care about cleaning windows because we care about the people behind them and the quality of life that comes from seeing the world clearly.
